The UCA-UK Springtime Harp Concert was wonderful.
We were privileged to hear such talented young international harp players from the Guildhall School of Music; including harpists from  Canada, Sweden, Belgium, Poland and Malta playing music from the 19th century to the present day. This event at a time, when we are emerging from ‘lockdown’ was so uplifting. I’m sure everyone who attended will have a ‘spring in their step’ today!

Thank you again for bringing your team up to Shenington earlier this month … it was a great success.

Mark Petterson,

Director of the ShenFest festival

We have all been locked down and  under house arrest for so long, we needed this like a shot in the arm!! When is the next one?

"We enjoyed watching the children's faces loving the show, sometimes getting over-excited, but that was part of the fun. It was good that they had a treat as well. and we enjoyed the explanations after the show as well. A really worth-while project."

David Clark,

Writer and Poet

"Thanks for the wonderful puppet show. It was very well performed, and I'm sure the many children watching enjoyed it. It was a good idea to show and explain the puppets and let the children ask questions after the show."

Michael Sheringham

We really enjoyed the wonderful concert. When it started with the beautifully sung Silent Night I realised how much I missed this last Christmas . But it was more than that it was beautiful. Each piece performed lightened my heart.

We don't really do Zoom activities, but were able to watch and listen to the entire event. Very glad we did catch it, as it was most enjoyable, with brilliant performances all round of a wonderful programme.

I enjoyed the Orchestral event, especially Alla Sirenko's stunning composition performance. It was great to get the culture brought home.

Thank you for your magnificent concert and poetry, it was such an uplifting experience.
Seeing you all on zoom was like having you in the living room with us.

I wanted to write to tell you how much I enjoyed your event.

I loved the folk songs at the end, many reminiscent of the songs my father, who was born near Lviv, played. And your beautiful piano piece that sounded like the breeze across the steppes - I really liked that.

Wonderful varied programme and so interesting - the beautiful and moving poems, songs, the Mezzo-Soprano (lovely powerful voice), the music, the Reception - everything!!  You really did do your country proud!!  Congratulations

I loved the arrangement Alla made of her work for the violin, and I am still in thrall to Rozanna's voice. She has a truly lovely voice and to hear her singing Dido's lament in such a perfect place for her voice was a delight that is still ringing in my head. It is one of my most favourite arias and she sang it in such a way that it is among the best I have ever heard it.

Sheelagh

It was a wonderful evening on Saturday. We are so grateful to you! Beautiful music, beautiful playing and singing, not  forgetting Marcella’s lovely voice and delivery. Most of us – certainly myself – had never heard the bandura in live performance. What a revelation. Julia and Kateryna are such gifted musicians. And it was such fun chatting afterwards!
